Artefact Analysis

ASL has extensive experience with artefact analysis, both in New Zealand and overseas. Issues of sampling within large assemblages and interpretation of singularities are regularly dealt with. The directors of ASL have contacts worlwide as part of their research in Historic Archaeology. Find issues are a regular part of the discussions with our collegues.

Conservation issues with large wooden artefacts have been dealt with by the directors of ASL in the past. The re-building and re-furbishing of traditional canoes at the then National Maritime Museum was a challenge successfully met by Hans Bader.
