Presentation - Public dissemination

back=>

Public presentation of the results of archaeological projects is important. This can counter balance the negative environmental impact of development by presenting positive additions to our knowledge of the past.

Both directors of ASL have a track record of using newspaper, radio and TV to generate positive feedback to archaeological projects.

Modern technology like 3D modeling and animation can help to tell the story of a site, especially in New Zealand where most archaeological sites don't have extensive surface remains. Hans Bader has experience in using 3D animations on archaeological sites since the late 90's.

The digital recording of excavations saves a lot of time to develop 3D models as the digital data can be easily transformed from the excavation plan to the presentation.
